Andrew Frank’s Keynote Speech at ICPHSO
I wanted to share some highlights from the recent International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO) symposium held last week in Orlando. The conference was attended by a wide range of industry experts and stakeholders committed to advancing consumer product safety.
I had the honor of delivering a keynote address to this distinguished audience and contributing to the important conversations surrounding consumer product safety and crisis communication strategies.
My remarks focused on offering insights and experiences gleaned from decades of working in crisis communications, including:
The critical importance of having robust crisis communication plans in place before they may be needed, navigating the various stages of an emerging matter with reputational impact, and the necessity of proactive preparation in today's rapidly evolving media landscape;’
The impact of modern media platforms and the imperative of crafting compelling narratives to differentiate a company's products and safety standards in the marketplace; and
The need for companies to invest in compliance officers and embrace a global perspective in crisis planning to effectively address regulatory disparities and international implications.
Overall, the symposium served as a valuable platform for fostering meaningful discussions and collaborations aimed at advancing consumer product safety initiatives on a global scale.
